WalletConnect is an open protocol that securely connects wallets to decentralized applications (DApps). It uses a bridge server to relay encrypted messages between two peers, initiated by scanning a QR code or using a deep link with a standard WalletConnect URI. Once the connection request is approved by the counterparty, the wallet and DApp can interact securely. An optional push server allows native applications to notify users of incoming messages for established connections.
