Saffron Finance is a decentralized peer-to-peer risk exchange protocol launched in October 2020 by pseudonymous founder "Psykeeper." It enables liquidity providers to customize risk and return profiles through SFI pool tranches. The protocol serves as an intermediary between liquidity providers and lending protocols, allowing users to supply liquidity via different tranches. The native SFI token is used for staking to access specific tranches and for protocol governance. With the upcoming V2 release, SFI holders will be entitled to protocol fees.
