Locus Chain is a distributed blockchain system with the goal of processing at least 4K transactions per second on a decentralized network. The Locus Chain network will consist of various devices, including generic home PCs, data center servers, mobile phones, or low-power IoT devices, all in different ranges of CPU performance, storage capacity, and network speed. The Locus Chain also has a goal of transaction processing time, reaching an immediate consensus within a few seconds, and reaching a deterministic permanent consensus within a few minutes.Locus Chain reportedly maintains fast processing speeds through a DAG(Directed Acyclic Graph)-based AWTC(Account-Wise Transaction Chain) ledger structure while implementing the Locus BFT consensus algorithm. It claims to have achieved a high degree of decentralization by fairly electing the committee that will participate in the consensus through the Stochastic dPoS method for each round.
